Mother-Daughter Day

Today Jessica and I had a nice day. We first went to the Potters Guild and had a bit of fun rolling out slabs of clay together. Jessica's a great slab wheel turner, and she helped me a lot by turning the wheel as I pulled the canvas cloth and clay through the rollers. We had picked out some trays to mold the slabs of clay onto to paint later on after our glass fusing class.

So once we had set up the molds, we headed on down the road to Fired Up! Glass Studio. We were taking a kids class with our friends Corinne and Emma, and the kids made a tile each. It was a fun experience, and I can't wait to pick up Jessica's tile that she made!

After the class, we all headed back to the potters guild to paint up the slabs Jess and I had made earlier. But first we had some yummy lunch! Jessica and I the day before
made some homemade Alphaghetti - and it was delicious!

So then the girls (Jessica and Emma) decorated the slabs we made earlier with various colours of slip. And those also turned out beautiful!
