Yesterday, I took an awesome workshop through the Guild. I can not believe how much I learned... And the majority of what I found the most informative didn't especially relate to he actual making of a bowl...
David taught us the physics behind actually throwing properly by aligning the clay particles so that they want to stay together. I was taught a new way to cone up and down the clay on the wheel, and to place wedged clay on its side, and not on the end, so that when you're aligning the particles they don't want to stay in the same spirally direction. So informative!
